Game Changer

So Today…  I woke up this morning to go train and definitely didn’t think I would end up being this busy. But here I am struggling to meet my deadlines for all my classes while balancing my athletic career and trying to get organized in the rest of my life. Between talking to my agent, developing another campaign for athletes and finishing all my assignments for the week I would say I am in need of a break. Enough about my personal problems though. Let’s talk about social media and such. I see social media as not only a new way of people to network, interact, and connect, but also as the most preferred way to communicate with your peers socially. One thing that I have really tried to figure out in these past three weeks is the engagement that an athlete and fan can have through social media. It is really crazy to see how much excitement fans get when you respond to their tweets and actually let them know that you care. Coming from a college football crazed school like Nebraska you really understand the true passion the fans have for their players even after they are done with their amateur career. It has been quite interesting for me to track what some athletes are saying and the amount of involvement they have with their followers. I am looking forward to sharing my stories about football in college and the road to the NFL as I observe how much of an impact Social Media is going to have on this years draft in April and for the athletes who really embrace it. With the explosion of professionals on social media sites, this will truly change the game.
